Journeys Through Print was a hands-on printmaking course delivered by Edward in partnership with The Seagull Theatre for members of their local communities. Participants explored the versatile and expressive potential of monotype printing during a playfully creative day in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
Through guided demonstrations and playful experimentation, course participants learned how to create their own mono-print using reduction techniques as well as how to use registration marks to acheive multi layered designs. Exploration of colour, layering, masking techniques and mark-making was also encouraged to produce unique images inspired by the natural world, our personal stories and experiences of it.
